Here's a second clip of my new MMG SimRDisp7X unit, I am filming this while sat in my simulator so the camera gets shaken around a bit as I race around the circuit.

Today I finally received my MMG SimRDisp7X for my steering wheel, it was the last component from my original order that I was waiting for. I guess I can now call my simulator complete for the time being. The display is really great because I can tell when to change gear without looking at the dash as the blue led's are really bright.

This clip shows one of my mates taking a Ferrari Enzo around Nuerburg Ring.

I completed the lap in 1:24.720 with no driver aids vs Alonso's 1:20.253, I did forgot to select minimal fuel so I think I could have gone a little quicker.

Last night I decided to do some practice laps around Silverstone in an F1 car of some sort. I was very keen to only use the driver aids available at the time so I went with a Renault R26 from the 2006 season. This was Renaults World Championship winning chassis and had traction control as the only driver aid. I will post the lap time tonight once I boot up rFactor again and plan to release a split screen vid against Alonso actual qualifying lap.

This was a video I put together for my boss, he's attended Champ Car races at Mid Ohio and has been a Paul Tracy fan in the past so I created this clip to show the simulator working.

This is the second clip of my newly finished Frex Simconmotion Simulator. I have to say it's worth every penny it truly transforms the experience of driving.

I finished my simulator around mid-day today and have spent the last few hours trying it out.

This clip was taken shortly after we had mounted the projector to the ceiling, we ran some rFactor footage just to check the angle and screen size. I am currently using something fabric to project onto as my motorized screen hasn't arrived yet.

This shows how far I got with the construction at the end of Saturday night, tomorrow I just need to complete the wiring and mount the pedals.

i'd like to say a huge thanks to my mate Craig who drove all the way down to Stansted to collect this for me.

Over the last few months with help from friends & family my loft has been undergoing a conversion to allow me to use the space to setup my Frex Simconmotion simulator. The center of the loft is now complete and ready for the arrival of my cockpit which should arrive from Japan later this week.

I will post more pics as the cockpit goes up. I have ordered a motorized projector screen to hang on the wall and will use my 720p DLP Optimo projector for the display. The Frex cockpit will be fitted with a Logitech G25 steering wheel, pedals & gearshifter.

This morning I got a shipping confirmation notice from Fed Ex to say my Frex Simconmotion simulator is on it's way to me. I should have the components with me mid next week and then I can start the building of my F1 simulator, hurray!
