More Bahrain Footage

Posted In: , , , . By Paul Woolrich

I have slowly got used to the new Bahrain layout after spending a few hours getting to know the new corners. I can't wait to watch the Grand Prix tomorrow.

This is a lap in the 2010 Mercedes F1 car on my race simulator. I completed the lap with no driver aids and fuel onboard in 1:57.900. I have only had the mod a few hours so the lap times should continue to fall.

Schumacher Split Screen

Today saw the first two practice sessions for the Bahrain grand prix, the first of the 2010 season. In addition it was also the release date of the 2010 F1 rfactor mod created by F1MG. I downloaded the mod and had a practice with some of the cars. I have the Bahrain 2010 circuit but need to get to grips with the new layout.

For a final laugh I decided to have a crack at a decent lap time on the A1 Ring circuit in Austria. The video below shows my lap time against one of Schumachers taken back in 2003.

The Master's Back

I was so excited when I heard Michael Schumacher was returning to Formula 1, and now the day has finally arived when he's re-united with a modern day F1 car.

The Michael Schumacher Karting Center in Kerpen Garmany has recently installed a simulator powered by rFactor. This particular setup at the Kart center includes a motion contolled rig and F1 style cockpit.

The clip below includes footage of the simulator along with an interview with Michael in German, in the inteview Michael comments how realistic the simulator is compared with Ferrari's million dollar simulator.
